On October 23-24, ENOG 4 Conference (Eurasia Network Operators' Group) was held in Moscow, Russia. This year, the major discussions revolved around Internet connectivity, network security and IPv6 deployment. The event is hosted by RIPE NCC and the Technical Center of Internet, and supported by the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ. The conference was broadcast by MSK-IX.

6 November 2012, Moscow, Russia & London, UK: IXcellerate, a datacentre provider in Moscow and IDC-G's Russian Alliance Member, and Cirex, a communications service provider in Russia, together with the Moscow Internet Exchange (MSK-IX), have jointly announced direct access to peering on MSK-IX, the neutral and independent Internet Exchange Point in Moscow.
