Yelena Voronina to sit on the Council of the Coordination Center for TLD RU/РФ
Yelena Voronina chairs the board of Moscow Internet Exchange (MSK-IX) and is technical director of the Technical Center of Internet (TCI).
She began her career in the Internet industry in 1994 as the head of an administrative and technical group. In 1998-1999, she was a member of the Coordination Group of the .RU domain, which assigned and managed Internet addresses under the .RU TLD. In 2002, the Coordination Group decided to hand over its functions to the Coordination Center for the Russian National TLD.
In 1999-2001, Voronina led the MSK-IX project as part of the Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN). She was appointed director of the Moscow Internet Exchange (MSK-IX) in 2001 and elected to chair the MSK-IX board of directors in 2013.
Voronina was one of the initiators of the Eurasia Network Operators' Group forum in 2011 and is a permanent member of the ENOG organizing committee.
